Following the evening concerts in St Margaret's on both Friday and Saturday there will be song circle taking place in the Flying Stag (the cosy pub of The Fife Arms)
The event will run from 10pm - midnight and is hosted by Alice Faye and Julen Santamaria both highly accomplished singer/songwriters. This is a free entry, informal event with anyone welcome to take part from beginner to professional.
About Alice Faye and Julian Santamaria
Alice Faye and Julen Santamaria are two independent Musicians who met in the Glasgow music scene at a songwriter circle over a year ago. Since meeting the pair uncovered their shared love for country and swing, and further their strong sense for storytelling and discussion when it came to lyrics and melody for music. Julen and Alice furthered this songwriting and performance connection through collaborating and playing together on several different original songs. They now host an open mic at the Dukes Bar in Glasgow weekly, continuing to play and write together within their solo projects and around bars and venues in Scotland. Last year they released their first single together ‘Later, Later On’ to critical acclaim and widespread radio play on BBC Radio 2, Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio Scotland and plan to release more together in the future.
